Love That Costco Shopping

Costco Shopping products

Don’t you just love shopping at Costco?  Everything comes in super large bottles or packages and it lasts you forever!  The only problem would be—you have to have some kind of storage area for bringing Costco purchases home.

Thank goodness I have a little storage area I use for my bulky Costco purchases.  If you don’t have space specifically for these items, it could really start to make your home look cluttered with everything piled up everywhere.  I mean, look at the size of everything!

If you don’t have the storage space, I wouldn’t suggest shopping your heart out at Costco unless you’re going to split things with a friend.  Then again, if you can find a nice little corner of your home tucked out-of-the-way somewhere—feel free to stack everything against the wall.

I wouldn’t suggest doing this for everything though.  I only do this for a few select items that make more sense to get at Costco.  Everything else I pretty much buy as I need it at other stores—because who wants a home full of stuff cluttering up the place?

So, if you have nothing else to do today, shop to your heart’s content at Costco and stock up on your favorite products in bulk—but only after they send you those coupons in the mail with all your favorites marked down at a lower price.

Take-Away Life Lesson:  Buying products in bulk that you use over and over can save you from having to buy them again for a few weeks or months—and that’s always a good thing.

Churro Churro

Churros

Another one of those weak moments where I’m inside a Costco store and have to walk past the food stand on my way out the door.

It was easy to talk myself into stopping at the food stand.  I mean, there was no line AND the food is cheap.  I don’t know if I’d have the patience to make these lovelies by hand at home myself.  But I was just as happy buying this goodness already made with buttery cinnamon sugary love and super fresh and warm for my enjoyment.

So, if you have nothing else to do today, happen yourself upon a warm buttery churro freshly made.

Take-Away Life Lesson:  It’s easy to talk yourself into getting a cheap churro no matter where you are.

Danishes

Cream Cheese and Apple Danishes

Look at these things!  I just couldn’t mind my own business while I was out Costco shopping–oh, nooooooooo.  Not me.  I have a distinct list in my hand to follow—5 things!  Nowhere on the list does it say anything about danishes, pastries, or anything of that nature.

But when I happened near the pastry area and see these beauties, I just had to stop and take notice.  Oh my!  What to do, what to do?  I stared with delight and could only imagine how my taste buds would dance about if one of these lovelies ever happened into my mouth.

Then I figured—why imagine something that I could easily make into reality?  So I decided I deserved my own box.  But what ever shall I do with the variety of choices presented before me?  Ah, my rule of thumb.

So, if you have nothing else to do today, find yourself your own box of Costco danishes in cream cheese, apple, raspberry, and apricot.

Take-Away Life Lesson:  There’s always a surprise waiting for you at every corner you turn in life—or in a Costco.

Danish Butter Cookies

Butter Cookies

I love this time of year when the Danish Butter Cookies appear outta nowhere.

So, if you have nothing else to do today, stock up on at least one giant container of butter cookies.

Take-Away Life Lesson:  With 20 cookies in each layer, there’s gotta be at least a bare minimum of 100 in there.

Costco Pizza Is Crazy Good

Cheese Pizza from Costco

Don’t ask me why, but Costco pizza is SOOOOOO freaking delish!  After I get out of the checkout lane, I have to pass the eating area where they serve all the good eatins before I can even get to the exit.  (Well, that’s a set-up if I ever saw one.)

Now, if there’s not a long line, I’ll grab myself a slice of pizza goodness on the way out.  I don’t know why I have to have one all the time.  But, let’s consider the fact that I’m always starving at the time that I’m shopping at a Costco.  I don’t know why—I just am.

And, as per usual, once I got inside the car—I set up the area next to me like a dining table for my pizza.  (I gotta be ready for drivin’.)  Clearly, I didn’t learn my lesson from the bread pudding dining.  But I tore that sucker UP!  It only made it 5 blocks.

So, if you have nothing else to do today, have a go at a Costco pizza.  But it’s not worth the $55 membership just for pizza—unless you plan to get one all day eryday!

Take-Away Life Lesson:  Don’t worry if you’re not a Costco member—just make like you’re ‘with’ the people walking in the front door that have a membership card.  As long as you’re ‘with’ somebody that has a card—you don’t need one.  Once you’re indoors, YOU’RE HOME FREE!  RUN TO THE PIZZA LINE!  You don’t need a Costco card to purchase pizza—thank the heavens!
