We only have one life given to us.  Create a life and live a story worth telling.

I’m just a girl who loves to live the life that was graciously bestowed upon me while surrounding myself with beautiful things in this world.

  1. Thanks for liking my post, l did enjoy many of your post too. Your blog is refreshingly different. l wanted to like most of the post l read, but l couldn’t find the like button on each post. I will be back to read and learn more from you. Beautiful pictures.

    1. Thank you so much. 🙂 So nice of you. (I sometimes have that problem with the like button on others’ blogs, too. It could be a temporary browser issue or some other thing. But it’s there. 😉 )

  2. Hi, I love your blog. The food looks yummy and the posts are amazing.
    I just can’t resist following you. 🙂
Thank you for liking my many posts. 😀

  3. Hey! You have very interesting blog and I like it very much! A lot of colorful photos and very clever articles! I’m glad to meet you in my blog too! If you like fashion or music, come! Good luck! And I hope to see you in my blog. -Vlad

  4. Hello, Miss Cita. Just wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for the Verstaile Blogger Award. I have mentioned you in a post at crumpledpapercranes.com.

I enjoy your articles, especially on food. Keep writing, eating, and enjoying life.

  5. You are a wonderfully positive force Miss Cita. 🙂 I’m not versed in fashion and I’m still trying to figure out how to live but I’ve got the food part nailed down solid. Now I’m thinking about food and it’s 3am. Not the best time to eat but hey, no plan is perfect. Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Thanks, Jeffery! And all that really matters in life is having the food part nailed down. Lol. Then all is right with the world. 🙂

  6. Nice Blog and very well written About me section. After seeing some blogs (like yours), reading lots of books, travelling to different places, its quite evident that we should appreciate the things around us and the best way way to appreciate them is to experience them. Share that experience with others, Motivate them to do the same. You mentioned about food and its true that food connects people, it connects one culture to other, one lifestyle to other. About shopping, we can also shop for the different cultures, buy the happiness, try different foods, exchange the food with others, buy that experience.

The topics of your blog (food, life & fashion) are quite broad and it’s quite that you are enjoying it, appreciate it and sharing with others, thus motivating them. Good Job. I feel that you are managing a good resource.

I have added your blog in my follow up list. Please pay a visit to my blog and let me know if you like it: http://metimediary.blogspot.com

  7. Hey there,
I just wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award. I enjoy reading your posts, so this is my way of saying thanks!

  8. Peace and Universal Greetings, I just wanted to thank you for the comments/likes you applied to one of my wordpresses. I have several. The one you left messages on, the “Make Me Better (TBD)” started out as an experiment when I was completely depressed. I am an empath so stuff going around me constantly effects me and sometimes I have no control over it. I will be paying some attention to your blog and journey you have embarked on real soon, since it’s been a goal of mine since 2006 to start a fashion blog. 🙂

    Health, Success and Happiness,

    -Cruzzer

May The Force Be With You

  13. what i am thinking now is you are a great person who loves life and believe in enjoying every bit of it. I am so thankful to you for taking time and visiting my blog and telling me I am so like you. and and i want to be friends with you because you’re such a nice person. Very few i have seen who has this thinking about life. So glad i came across your blog and so thankful you visited mine. and i must say you’re a awesome writer. need to learn from you a lot.

    1. Thank you, Sagar! And it’s so sad not a lot of people think this way about life. People should really enjoy life while they can because life can be too short.

      1. yeah i have seen it with my eyes happen that with many people. who lost their peace in running after life collecting money but not enjoying life by using the money they had. it’s sad. but i m happy that your blog is a great way to tell people how should we live.

        1. Exactly. People should not just save money, but enjoy and spend some of their money too. What good is it if you die and you leave all your money for someone else to enjoy? You understand me so well.

          1. Yes I got your message and I have a Facebook page. You can go to it from my blog and click it there. I do not have a Twitter account yet though.

          2. Thank you, Sagar. I never really promoted my FB page yet because I wasn’t posting on it that much. But I plan to, soon.

          3. yes and one thing i wanted to ask you what’s your name? lol Cita? coz i have read cita in comments but asking you to clear my doubt.

          4. Well, let’s just say I use that name for my blog. So you can call me “Cita” for now. 🙂 It’s on the bottom of my About Me page.

          5. hmm means you have a different name. that’s your nicname cita. btw you are a sweet person. you reply to my every comment. thank you so much 🙂

  14. I found your blog so interesting that I started following your blog, for more interesting posts from your side ,thanks for visiting my blog and liking my post dear.

  20. Hi Cita, it’s my pleasure to nominate you for the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award. Thanks! Please follow this link thewritemight.me/2014/04/02/wonderful-team-member-readership-award/

  21. Aloha Lucy–I love food, fashion, & life, too. I learned to cook from scratch because I raised 4 kids on a budget & did not like to eat unflavorful food & also liked to cook ethnic foods. I like fashion & have learned some things on “What Not to Wear” because they don’t try to change peoples’ weight, only their clothing combinations, thus making them more professional, respectable, & confident. Finally, I’m beginning Life 2.0. Looking forward to more from you…

    1. Hey, Kalena! I used to love watching that show, too. I used to watch it all the time. Here’s to more fun with food, fashion, and life!! 🙂

  22. You have a lovely and very versatile blog that’s so full of character! 🙂 I’m looking forward to reading your posts! Thank you very much for liking, following and commenting on my blog! 🙂 X

  23. Excellent! That’s what am trying to do everyday, enjoying life that I’ve been blessed with. Maybe I need to stop ‘trying’ and just enjoy :). Great post.

And BTW: thanks for liking my blog.

  24. Dear Cita

  26. Thank you for spending some time reading my blog – I really appreciate it and hope that you enjoyed it. I’m going to follow yours – it looks like you have an amazing attitude and who doesn’t love food, fashion and life is pretty important too!

    Thanks again,
    Jill

  27. Excellent website, everything what I love is here.Thank you for sharing such as great information.

  28. Thank you for the ‘like’ of “Best Ever Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins Served with Memories.” In addition to encouragement for fellow writers, a terrific thing about ‘likes’ is that they often make you aware of a new and interesting blog. I plan to sign on to follow yours. Jackie

  29. Seems we both value life–check. We both admire fashion and style–check. You love food and I do as well–check. Lol. I may not eat fried treats, but every three hours when it’s time for me to eat, it’s what I look forward to each day. Looking forward to taking this blogging journey. You started yours in January of 2013…my wife created mine in January of 2014.

  30. Hey Cita! Thank you for dropping by 23 and 1/2 Miles. You made me laugh with this About Page, so I had to comment. It’s not often I find one so enthralling. Followed and Liked! Hope to see you in the conversation over at 23 and 1/2 Miles. Thanks!

  31. Nice reading about you

Thanks for visiting my blog. Be in touch. Browse through the category sections, I feel you may find something of your interest.

Happy New Year !!!!!!! and best wishes for you in 2014 🙂

  32. Everything about this just oozes positivity 🙂 Food isn’t something I know much about but I would like to learn more. Fashion is quickly becoming a love of mine. While I may have a different purpose or focus to my own style, I feel like watching others reach their own intellectual/passionate fashion objectives teaches me a lot. So I look forward to seeing more of your work 🙂

  33. Well, well, well. A new person read my blog tonight. I went to his . . . and for obvious reasons, thought of you right away. But in reading the comments, I find that you beat me to it! It’s Hungry Tommy. Looks definitely like your kind of site!

    1. Lol. I just went to it. I remember it now. Oh, yeah. Then again, I’m starting to wonder if ANY kind of food site is my kind of site. 🙂

  34. Nothing like a smile on your face when reading someone else’s blog, thank you for being honest and openly real, honourable. Thank you too for finding me and my posts interesting:) Staying in touch xxx

  35. Food, fashion and life…who doesn’t love that! Despite the fact that everyone in my life seems to be telling me I’m shrinking, I love food! Fashion fascinates me, though I rarely have time or money to shop for it (it’s because I spend it all on books). And life…life is a wonderful gift!

  36. I’ve nominated you for an award, but acceptance is purely optional. If you’re interested then please check out this post: feastingwithfriendsblog.com/award-cabinet/

  37. Thank you for visiting my site and liking my post on panzanella salad! I see we share similar interests, and I look forward to exploring your site more.

Thanks for following my blog! I love the space you’ve got here and look forward to getting more of your updates (especially the foodie ones- that quinoa salad looks the bomb)!

    🙂 Kera from OmBlog

  40. I choose Lucy Penhaligon! There was a character in the British television series “Cracker” whose last name was Penhaligon – and the main character really chewed up that name – for fun! So . . . Lucy is how I will think of you! ;->

    Virtual hugs,

    Judie

    1. No, I’m not. I just rarely take any time off throughout the year because I really don’t go anywhere on “vacation” much. So by the end of the year I have all this time I need to use or I will lose it. And I’m not about to let THAT happen. 🙂

  41. Wow :0
Just reading the “About Me” page,I was left in awe..Looking forward of reading your posts! Btw,nice to meet you,I’m Anna. 🙂

  42. Smile on LFFL. Thanks for the like and comment on my post ‘Falling Light’. Like you I love food and a bit of adventure, a step into the unknown. Have a great weekend, MM ?

  43. Hi Cita! 🙂 Awesome blog and “about”… I know a Cita whose real name is Carmen! 🙂
@”Cita de la Fressange” – are you related to the famous French ex Chanel topmodel Inès de la Fressange?… 🙂

My very best and friendly thoughts from Toulouse, France… cheers, Mélanie d’Armagnac 🙂

  44. Thank you for recently stopping by my blog. I like yours. I have a food problem, too!:) I could totally relate to everything you said in that part of your about page. I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

  45. Hi Cita,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m glad you liked my post about the fast food strike 🙂 I also LOVE to eat! I wish I could stay as slim as you, but my love shows up on me so I don’t get to enjoy it nearly as much as I would LIKE to! I also love fine clothes but can really only look. I do get out and around, I try to live my life to the fullest every day and enjoy seeing others do too. I like your blog 🙂

  46. Hi Cita. Am I glad to stumble upon your site! 😉 I would love people like you around me. I was smiling the whole time I was reading your post…kinda reflection of me too. See you around more often.
    and yeah…lets live a fabulous life! 🙂

  47. Hi,

First of all I wanted to thank you for visiting my blog and liking my posts!

Secondly, I really like your blog. I will definitely try the candied sweet potato(on my ‘sin day’ because they look delicious!

  48. Thanks for liking my BuildingMyBento posts about food!

I think I tried a Culver’s hamburger in Bloomington, MN and found that it was one of the better fast food options. The hamburger bun was flecked with garlic and poppy seeds, so that helped!

  49. Hi! I’ve nominated you for a ‘Versatile Blogger Award’…because you’re awesome of course. If you’re not the awards type that’s cool but if you are go get it here http://wp.me/p3CH62-pt ! Yeah, there are rules but they’re pretty easy to follow. Thanks for reading my silliness!

  60. Hi – Thanks for visiting my blog.. just read yours and I am where you started.. (first time blogger, trying to motivate mums, women, wives out there to make the most of things and share ideas (and food!)… still struggling around the site to make it look amazing.. yours looks great! i can’t even get my profile pic up haha…

    1. Thanks! Mine’s is a work in progress. I’m always making changes to it as I learn something else. You will, too. You have to research, do a lot of reading and playing with it and you’ll get better at it like I did. Takes time.

  61. Great blog. I have gained 5 lbs. just looking at food pics. I am wondering how you are staying so thin. I also can’t figure out what part of the country you are in but I am thinking the south, Hardees and Cracker Barrel. I so miss Hardees biscuits.

    1. I’ve been asked that question my entire life and there’s no scientific answer for it. Scientists probably need to study me at this point. I’m just as clueless as anyone else. Thanks for stopping by!

  62. I can feel your vivacious personality through your writing here! Love the blog and your post on the ice cream man. We have one that comes through our neighborhood and I always want to go chase after him but feel silly. I’ll have to think of you next time and get my shoes on!

Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my post about the Danish cobbler. I look forward to checking back here and see what you’re up to.
