A Lovely Charity Event

All dolled up and ready to leave for a charity event.  I had never been to a major charity event before this one and always wondered what it was like to attend one.

All the donations for this charity event went to one of the local hospitals for cancer research—always a good cause.

I arrived there early enough to see the stage being set up for music, a lady practicing her aerial stunts, and the tents being set up with tables, chairs and whatnot.

And, oh my.  Food was EVERYWHERE!!!  So many different restaurants had their own little areas where they were giving away samples of their food to all the attendees all night unlimitedly.  I just loved seeing so much food surrounding me.  It was a dream come true—to be surrounded by various types of food and unlimited eating!  Heaven!

Everyone was dressed in their finest attire.  The men were, oh so, very dapper in their suits and ties and the ladies so lovely in their cocktail dresses and 4-inch stilettos.  It was all very high-society, dahling.

So, if you have nothing else to do today, find a local charity event in your hometown and attend it while dressed to the nines in your finest attire.  You’ll have lots of fun and help out a good cause at the same time.

Take-Away Life Lesson:  It’s always nice when you can give your money to attend a fun event while at the same time knowing your money is being put to good use and was well worth the cost to attend.

    1. LOL!!! Awww. Did you think I was staying away because of those mathematics posts? Lol. They WERE scaring me a bit and headaches were forming. I had to go into hiding from them. 🙂
No—life in general just got in my way for a minute and I could barely find time to do anything….then later I went out of town for a week. That’s why I hate not having enough time in a day—it puts me behind in my blogging and whatnot—darn it! But I’m on my way back to blogging and all forms of social media again. Just getting myself sorted out and settled now. Thanks for checking up on me. So sweet. Glad I was missed. 😉

  1. The charity events i love attending is the bazaar held by the Buddhist temple. I can find yummy vegan foods (which i rarely eat) and nice Buddhist items such as praying beads, etc. The best of all is the lion and dragon dance. 😀

  2. Firstly, thank you for enjoying so many of my posts. It means a lot to me to have a visitor like you. You truly are special. I loved the way you wrote this post. I never go to a charity but do spend a day with kids from the deaf and dumb school in a village. The school is more than one hundred years old. Besides the charity it is the vibe and positivity I see in those kids which motivates me and help me chose the words carefully before I speak and ‘Speak Sweet’
P.S: please keep your selfies coming as I love seeing you and admire your beauty 🙂

    1. That is so cool you spend time with the kids there. I bet they love it! And thank you so much for your kind words, Janak. 🙂

      1. I always make it a point to go there and enjoy the positive vibe. I wish I could take you there some day. it is so very different. I am sure you will go speechless for i cried the first time and couldn’t face them so easily.

  3. I’m so glad you enjoyed yourself, and I agree with you on

    Thanks For Sharing LFFL

  4. You did look quite stunning. As for charity events, having spent my life in the non-profit word, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in numerous charity events; they are the lifeblood of nonprofits. Thanks for your support. –Curt
