The Beauty Of My Morning

Sunrise

It’s going to be a beautiful day!

Oh, what a beautiful morning!  I love when I’m up early and get to see things like this.  Right when I exited off the highway, I saw this gorgeous sunrise.

I love that the weather is finally getting and staying warm.  And to think I had to suffer through the horrid months of winter just to get back to this point!

And to see a beautiful sunrise like this?  Thank goodness for 24-hour grocery stores!  This affords me to be able to shop at 4:00, 5:00, or 6:00am if I’m so inclined to avoid the herd of riff raff that will be shopping in the stores a few hours later.  I mean, who wants to be around hundreds of people when you’re trying to get your shopping done?

I’m a much happier person when I’m the ONLY person in the store and have the place all to myself.  Never mind that I look like I just rolled out of bed—well, I guess, technically I did.  But still—I like being the only human shopping in a store.

So, if you have nothing else to do today, do some early morning shopping in a 24-hour store.  And if 5:00 in the morning is too early for you, try the other end and do late night shopping at MIDNIGHT.  You pretty much get the same benefits on either end of the clock—the store to yourself!!!

Take-Away Life Lesson:  You never know what beauty you’ll be surprised by when you’re out on an early morning drive.

  1. I love it when I wake up mega early to start the day so I guess that makes me a ‘morning person’: its just the time of the day when I’m full of ideas and the most positive!
I get what you mean about liking to be the only person in the store, I love that too: grocery and otherwise. Ps thanks for leaving a comment on my blog!

  2. I love this. There’s something so magical about the early morning. That’s a beautiful photo of the sunrise! I’m constantly taking pictures of the sky, sunsets, and all. Stores that are open at all hours are the best!!
    😀

  3. you’re so right. I should really take a moment to enjoy the morning rather than trying to just get through it! Nice post

    1. Thanks. Yes, it can be hard to get up that early. But I make myself so I don’t have to deal with all the people that will be in the stores a few hours later.

    2. Ha ha!! I was about to write the same thing as Oxana! I only get up that early when I have to catch a flight, but even so, I try to book flights to leave later. To save money, I once booked a flight for 5 AM but I went to the airport the night before because I knew I’d never make it. It’s actually easier for me to stay up all night than get up early.

Sunrise is glorious, but sunset is more realistic for me! 🙂

      1. Oh, wow, I wish I could stay up all night like that sometimes. I can’t believe you got there the night before.

      2. wow, really? to stay in the Airport, omg but I’m sure you had nice sleep after:)))) wine and great selection of movies :)))

  4. you have a lovely outlook 🙂 I’m going to take those early morning hours to sleep, though am with you on grocery shopping being more fun when the store isn’t crowded.

    1. It’s sometimes hard but I try to find the good in getting up so early—going shopping in the pitch darkness. To each his own. 🙂

  5. A very blessed and beautiful day to you. There are a few things I consider life’s greatest gifts–the laughter or smile of a child, having a meal with others and the breathtaking beauty of a sunrise or sunset. You were able to witness this morning’s sunrise, so kudos. I am like a big kid, whenever we go grocery shopping. My wife calls me her son, because the first thing I do is grab a cart and get my racing on. Lol. If they have wheels, they are meant for racing. HaHa. I am a very responsible driver though…I don’t text and grocery cart–so could you imagine me in an empty store. Lol. I love an empty store, as much as I love my gym when it’s a ghost town. I hope the shopping experience was a great one for you.

    1. Lol! I think I’ve texted and grocery-carted before and almost got killed. So take a lesson from me. 🙂 But it is fun giving it a good push and standing on it while you roll down an aisle. The small joys of life! I love ’em.

  6. I completely agree. Grocery stores are strangely soothing when you feel you’ve got the whole place to yourself. I won’t step foot in one if its the day before Thanksgiving or something, it got so bad we had a cop parked outside the King Soopers last holiday and I was like hell no and drove to the abandoned Safeway across the street where I got my last minute shopping done in peace
