Sautéed ‘Shroom Burger made with mushrooms and Swiss cheese with a side of French fries.
Now I’ve had some great burgers in my lifetime, but I have to say I wasn’t impressed at all with my burger here. It was about as bland as bland could get.
I had to douse this with loads of ketchup just to somewhat enjoy it as it was sliding across my taste buds and going down my tube. The fries were ‘meh’, too.
I’m not so sure about the ‘Gourmet Burger’ part of the sign. Maybe I just didn’t give this place a decent chance and should probably go back and try several of the other burgers and menu items before I do a review.
Maybe it is an awesome place to go, but I couldn’t tell you that yet from my personal experience.
So, if you have nothing else to do today, give Red Robin a chance and maybe order something else off the menu other than what I did.
Take-Away Life Lesson: It’s hard to give a place a second chance when the first thing you order off the menu doesn’t even come close to impressing you.

Single hand sticking up for Red Robyn – As I recall, I had the Hickory cheeseburger with bacon and all the fixings and it was great. 🙂
I’ll have to give them another try.
You know the best spice is hunger – and I’ll bet I was very hungry! HuntMode, who eats late.
True. 🙂
never been a fan of Red Robin (or any other chain)–will always go for that diner 🙂
I see why.
I love this combination on my burger. YUMMY!!!!
Yeah, me too, but they should have made the burger taste better than what it did or add another topping.
I bet when you make the burgers they are to die for. I know Red Robin is popular but when I eat burgers I always make my own.
Your posts ALWAYS make me hungry 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Interesting post! We rarely eat out because I love to cook really good food, but on the forced social occasions that we do, I have found that the menu pictures and the text that goes with it are far more appealing than the actual food that arrives for consumption. I always wonder what they do to the food to make it so tasteless when creating food at home provides a sumptuous experience.
Forced social occasions? LOL! Yes, I hate when the pictures both LOOK and SOUND so good and then you get it and you’re disappointed in it. Doesn’t happen all the time, thank goodness, but I don’t care for the deception when it does. If I can make the food better at home from the top of my head, then the restaurant shouldn’t be in business.
