New Sale Items At Target!!

Cockroach

Ya know—as I browse the “Life” section of my blog, I realize I have a lot of craziness that goes on in my life.  I guess that’s part of the beauty of life—you never know what you’re gonna get from one day to the next.

While out shopping at Target today in their lamp aisle, I had the utmost pleasure of running into their latest sale item—cockroaches!  Oh, don’t worry guys—I didn’t buy them all.  I mean, there were plenty to go around for everyone.

Is there anything else that can possibly put off my shopping experience?!  It was all I could do to keep one from crawling up my leg, into my purse, and going home with me.  Eww.

So, if you have nothing else to do today, no need to rush yourself getting dressed to get to Target for this sale.  Take your time.  This sale isn’t going to end anytime soon.

Take-Away Life Lesson:  Always be prepared for unusual and crazy things to happen in your life.  It wouldn’t hurt you to keep a can of bug spray on your key chain either.

  1. Reblogged this on Smorgasbord – Variety is the spice of life and commented:
Ha ha – this reminded me of our first week in Houston in 1985 – apart from the fact when we arrived there were cowboys on horses carrying hand guns and rifles – (it was rodeo week!) I also had my first encounter with the local wildlife. My husband had to leave almost immediately on a sales trip and I was left in a temporary appartment complex whilst I looked for our permanent home. The first night I saw the largest cockroach in our bedroom, marching determinedly across the carpet towards me. I hurriedly vacated the bedroom and slept on the couch for the night. The next day I went to the office and mentioned this intrusion upon my personal space. I left them rolling around on the floor with laughter, as I clutched a roach motel in my clammy hand.

    1. Eww. If you don’t kill those things immediately it could breed hundreds of babies all at once and then you’d really be in trouble.

      1. don’t get me started – I still remember living with five roach motels under the bed. The worst time was a post hotel in Acapuloc, switched the lights on after a night out and a sea of them ran for the cracks between the walls and floor – I know it was nearly 30 years ago but that image will live with me for ever!! Have a good week and thanks for your support on the blog.

  2. Wooww I don’t like cockroaches! I can’t imagine how is the food section!!!!

  3. I work at Target in the food area/Starbucks and I’ve never seen bugs in our store. I have heard other horror stories about other Targets though. Lol I’m glad we keep our store clean! Cockroaches are nasty! I hope you told someone in charge about the problem.

    1. Well, I couldn’t readily find someone to tell either but figured they’d probably find out soon enough.

  4. I love this un-conventional conversation! You know we eat cockroaches in Thailand and YES…I had to try one, had no desire to try two I guess I will never know if (as they say) it improves your sex life? You know I also ,always have my camera with me, as I was ordering my rice & noodle diner, ( only $1) I made this video of the cockroach and the kitten. You may love them after you watch this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPbPf7iHrkI

    1. That was a cute video. That bug should have been dead a long time ago with how rough that kitten was playing with it. But I can’t believe you tried one of those suckers. Yuck!

  5. I’ve been told that cockroaches are actaully a very clean insect. Who gives a rip! I hate them. When I was stationed down in San Antonio Texas, our barracks was an old WW 2 building. We had cockroaches you could actually hear scrurring across the floors at night. Big? They could screw a turkey standing flat-footed.

    1. Lol. Who in the world told you that load of malarkey?! Pfft. A bug is a bug is a bug. Oh that’s scary to actually hear them too. Eww.

  6. Ahh… Did you jump and scream and act all girlie-like? lol Sorry you had that experience but them little suckers can never be truly eliminated… 🙁
